Our Educational System

Toastmasters Educational System

One of the most outstanding benefits of joining Toastmasters is that you have opportunities to continuously improve your communication and leadership skills. The Toastmasters educational program consists of two tracks - a communication track and a leadership track. You are encouraged to participate in both tracks. The two tracks are not mutually exclusive, and you can work in both at the same time. Both also provide recognition for specific accomplishments. The diagram below shows the award progression in each track.

    Educational Materials:

Our educational materials are professionally prepared. The Competent Communicator manual has ten projects, designed to develop your speaking skills one step at a time. Each project presents educational material and clear objectives that builds upon what you have learned in the preceeding project. Most of the talks will be five- to seven-minutes long. An evaluator will give you verbal and written feedback on every speech you present. The evaluator will point out your strengths and offer suggestion to help you become a more effective speaker and gain more experience.

The Advanced Communication Series helps you practice various speaking skills you may encounter outside Toastmasters club, such as technical presentations, public relations, storytelling, persuasive speaking, interpretive reading, speeches by management, communicating on television, etc. There are five projects in each manual.
