About Toastmasters International:

Toastmasters International was established in 1924 at the YMCA in Santa Ana, California. Today, we are a nonprofit organization with nearly 235,000 members in in 106 countries. We offer a supportive and enjoyable environment to help members practice and hone their communication and leadership skills.

 

Our Wednesday Orators meetings are comprised of approximately 15 people who meet every Wednesday from noon - 1pm. Participants learn to improve skills by filling various roles, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as toastmaster of the day (meeting leader), timer, evaluator or grammarian.

There is no instructor in our meeting. Instead, speech and meeting are constructively evaluated by members. There is a great opportunity for advancement in Toastmasters. Click here to learn about our educational system.
